Meet Dr. Kari Swanson
Dr. Swanson is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons with extensive training from the University of Illinois and years of experience in multi-specialty referral hospitals. She works hand-in-hand with our All Creatures team to ensure seamless, comprehensive care. With strong family ties to the Black Hills area and previous experience working with local veterinarians, Dr. Swanson is passionate about making high-quality specialty surgery accessible to pets in our community.

How it Works
Here’s what to do:
- Contact us at (605) 342-0052 to schedule an initial consultation with one of our veterinarians.
- Following that consultation, we will coordinate with Dr. Swanson and send over all records and imaging.
- Dr. Swanson will review the medical records and call you to discuss the diagnosis and procedure 48 to 72 hours before your pet’s scheduled surgery.
- MVS brings all surgical equipment and instruments to All Creatures; the All Creatures team provides the surgical preparation and support, anesthesia monitoring, medications, and post-operative care.
- MVS provides surgical reports and discharge instructions and is available for post-operative consultation.
