Kaylas was born and raised in Greeley, CO and graduated from Front Range Community College in Ft. Collins, CO in May 2023 with an Assoicats of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. That July she passed her VTNE and became an RVT in the state of Colorado before moving up to Rapid City at the start of 2024. She started with ACVH in March of 2024 and is now a RVT in the State of South Dakota as well. She has wanted to be a veterinary technician from the time she was about 9 years old. Later in life she explored some other options but quickly realized once in college that she wanted a hands-on career helping and working with animals. 

She has 3 rescue dogs; Cocoa her old lady, a 12 year old chocolate lab mix, Novi, a sweet 5yr old Australian Cattle dog mix, and Meka, a crazy 3yr old black lab mix. She enjoys cooking and baking, reading, hanging out with her dogs and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys photographing landscapes and wildlife, in addition to framing her own prints.
